How to cook Turkey Breast

Our turkey breast is the ideal centerpiece for any holiday feast. Sourced from 100% Australian turkey, it's a delicious and easy way to bring joy to your table

  • Prep Time: 10-15 minutes.
  • Cooking Time: 40-45 minutes per kg

Ingredients

Tools:

  1. Oven
    Preheated to 180°C.

  2. Thermometer Pen
To check the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).

  3. Sharp Knife
For carving the turkey breast into slices.

  4. Carving Fork
To hold the turkey breast securely while slicing.

  5. Netting Removal Tool (Scissors or Sharp Knife)
To carefully remove the netting post-cooking.

  6. Roasting Pan or Tray
To place the turkey breast in the oven.

Step 1: Preheat Your Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (356 °F). Starting with the right temperature ensures your turkey breast roasts evenly and achieves a beautiful golden crust.

Step 2: Season the Turkey

Drizzle a little olive oil over the turkey breast, then rub it all over with a poultry rub or seasoning of your choice. Don’t skimp on this step—it’s what makes every bite burst with festive flavour!

Step 3: Place in the Oven

Place the seasoned turkey breast on a roasting tray and transfer it to the preheated oven. We recommend cooking for approximately 45 minutes per kilogram of turkey breast.

Use a thermometer to monitor the internal temperature, aiming for around 70°C (158°F) as it cooks.

    Step 4: Rest for Juiciness

Once the turkey reaches 70°C (158°F), remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. This resting period allows the temperature to rise naturally to 74°C (165°F), the safe point for poultry, and locks in those juices.

    Step 5: Slice and Serve

Carve the turkey breast into thin, even slices using a sharp knife and carving fork. Take your time to keep the slices intact and presentable.

Step 6: Add the Finishing Touch

Serve your turkey with a side of tangy cranberry sauce or a rich, velvety turkey gravy for a perfect festive pairing.
